We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Records Technician to join our team at Kingston Healthcare Company. Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain patients' medical records in accordance with privacy regulations and best practices.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and security of all medical records.
• Process and fulfill requests for medical records from authorized individuals and organizations.
• Assist in the coding and indexing of medical records for proper documentation and billing purposes.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the efficient and effective management of medical records.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems and other software for efficient record-keeping and retrieval.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a medical records technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in medical terminology, record-keeping procedures, and relevant privacy regulations (HIPAA, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of medical records.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other medical record software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and handle patient inquiries.
• Certification in Health Information Technology (HIT) or related field is preferred.
